Description

The Institute for Political and International Studies presents the Euro-regions which are voluntary institutional organizations between different socioeconomic, cultural, sportive actors among cross-border territories of different countries of which one, two, or three of them are EU members. They establish common structures in different fields which organize and develop activities, projects, initiatives and everything they want that is in interest of the society and the nature, for the society and welfare. They have now opened the call for papers for the international scientific conference titled “EUROREGIONS: Integrating Societies-Generation growth-Caring resources“. The conference will take place on 20 – 21 September 2013 in Struga, Macedonia. It aims to enhance the awareness for the significance and possibilities of regional co-operation, discussing and developing strategies for the improvement of cooperation in the region especially among young scientists from countries of the Danube Region and Central Europe. Among the themes that will be discussed by the scholars are:

  • Integrating the Western Balkans through cross border cooperation
  • Future perspectives under EU integration processes
  • Socio economic realities and future projections in the Western Balkans
  • “Balkans Benelux” as a possible model in the future
  • Education, youth in the Western Balkans
  • Media and civil Society in the Western Balkans

Eligibility

Representatives from the regional countries: Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Macedonia and from USA, Austria, England, Denmark, Germany, Romania, etc.

Abstracts will be submitted in Albanian, English and Macedonian for the country participants, while for the regional participants should be in Albanian and English.

Costs

Participants in the conference are required to pay the participation fee of 80€ in which the costs for accommodation for one night, meals, workshop and lessons and certificate for participation are included.

Application

Applicants should submit the abstract of max. 300 words and a CV to contact@ispn.org.mk by 21 August 2013. Once the thesis has been accepted applicants will be requested to submit the paperwork together with the application form given HERE to the same email address no later than 1 September 2013.
